PC Five is an alias for Steve Bradshaw, a software developer based in Cambridge, UK.
Steve has over ten years experience developing modern software for modern organisations, from websites to server applications, and ten more on developing old fashioned software in older environments.
As a child Steve taught himself to program BASIC on the ZX Spectrum and the BBC Micro, before going on to study Assembly language on the Spectrum.
Steve went on to study up to degree level, completing a First Class 'MMath' four-year Maths degree at the University of Wales, Swansea, between 1995-1999.
After graduating, Steve worked as a software developer for Autonomy bringing together their range of products by developing the user-interface for versions 3 & 4 of their Portal-in-a-Box product. Steve was there from 1999 - 2003.
Steve took some time out of IT between 2003-2006, working as an event manager in a long standing live music venue in Cambridge. Steve remained active though, learning PHP and beginning the long process of developing the website for the community project CambridgeBands.com.
From 2006-2011, Steve freelanced, developing a range of websites, listed on the Portfolio page, as well as maintaining others that are not listed there.
From early to mid 2011, Steve worked for The Agile Workshop, developing complex server applications using CSharp, NUnit, Castle Windsor, NHibernate, NSubstitute until the company was broken apart in 2011.
